Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Naga, and Batangas Protégés face off to secure themselves to the Top 10 Protégés.

Lovely: Davao Protégé Winner
The Davao Protégés are being mentored by Jaya, a rhythm & blues singer. Lovely won the face-off. Here's how they performed during the face-off.- Joshua is a 12-year old boy from Davao. I like his distinct voice. There are many singers who can sing well but the quality of their voices are ordinary. Joshua's voice is just one of the few who has a unique vocal timbre. It's just like when he was singing, he doesn't move at all. Singing is one thing; performing is another. He has to give life to what he is singing. My score: 4 stars. If he can be livelier, he has a star potential.
- Archimedes has good vocal quality tone. He sings with emotion that one could feel it. If he could be versatile, he has a star potential. Being a balladeer this generation is not an "it" unless he is a composer. My score: 4 stars.
- Lovely Embuscado is the young girl who sings with his pet pigs back home. After a make-over, she's been transformed into a lovelier girl her age. She's one of the best. My score: 4.5 stars.
Jensen: Batangas Protégé Winner
Claire de la Fuente, a jukebox queen in the 70's, mentors the Batangas Protégés. Here's how they performed during the face-off.- Via Samantha has a potential to be a good singer. Being a young girl, she still needs to improve her craft. She has a good voice quality. Being good however is not enough. She has to be the best in order to win. My score: 3.9 stars.
- MOST, which stands for Men of Soul and Talent, is composed of 4 young guys. They tried to blend, the harmony was there but hindi buo ang boses. There's a hiss in their vocals. When singing in unison, it should sound like one voice. I think their differences in diction made their voices na parang naghihiwa-hiwalay. My score: 3.75 stars.
- Jensen wowed the judges. She's a total package. She's got the looks, the confidence, the voice. She's almost perfect. My score: 4.5 stars.
Krizza: Cagayan de Oro Protégé Winner
Aiza Seguerra, an acoustic singer, mentors the Cagayan de Oro Protégés. Here's how they performed during the face-off.- Mark Gregory is better off as a band vocalist. If given a break, he can make it. My score: 3.9 stars.
- Zibrille tried to be a rocker. She, too, can make it good as a band vocalist. My score: 3.6 stars.
- Krizza is another surprise after the make-over. Her vocal quality is solid; her notes exact. "Pulido" in other words. She has a potential to be a star but it might take time. Seasons have to ripen her.
Rosalyn: Naga Protégé Winner
Imelda Papin, another jukebox queen in the 70's, mentors the Naga (Bicol) Protégés. Here's how they performed during the face-off.- VIP - a group of 5, all blind. They have the voices and can sing harmoniously. Unfortunately, their disability could not allow them to be performers on stage. Yes, they can sing but not perform.
- Rosalyn Navarro has no distinct voice quality. Her voice is one of the many. Choosing a Whitney Houston song has been done many times. For that reason, her performance was boring. There was nothing new to it. She could have given it a different flavor. My score: 3.5 stars.
- Jobert's performance for a 12-year old boy is already something. But just like Rosalyn, he was not able to give an extraordinary performance. Having a high-pitched voice doesn't mean having a good voice. If he was able to put dynamics to his number, he could have won the judges' "yes".
My Wildcard's Winner
Among the 14 Protégés who didn't make it to the top 10,Via, Joshua, and Archimedes should be given a second chance. Between Rosalyn of Naga and Via of Batangas, Via performed better. My portal to just about anything
