Ang Katapusan Ni Machete

Gone too soon. Hindi yan yung kanta ni Michael Jackson. I'm referring to Machete - the telenovela of GMA network. Was it about poor ratings the reason why it was axed too soon? Sayang naman. Pinaghandaan pa man din Aljur Abrenica yung character niya bilang Machete.

May jinx kaya sa cast ng Machete? Sana huwag na niyang idamay ang iba pa. Kung ano ang itinanim, siyang bunga.

Machete could have been a better drama. If it targeted a more mature audience, baka nag-click pa sa manonood. Maganda ang plot, and the production as well, pag ang eksena ay pinagmulan ni Machete. Yung modern time ang hindi ko gaanong gusto. Parang kulang. Parang mabagal. Pati acting, hindi okay. Bela's acting is worst. Ryza was over-acting.

So, I wonder, why they risked Bela and Ryza sa primetime. Aljur, on the other hand, ay nasubukan na sa primetime with his solo tele-novela "The Last Prince". Why, then, Machete failed to impress a bigger audience.

Gone too soon! Not Michael Jackson's song. I'm referring to "Machete", GMA's drama series starring Aljur Abrenica. It is being axed this week. Was it about poor ratings? Too bad it's short lived considering Aljur prepared for his role for months.

Maybe, the cast was jinxed! Whoever that one is, I hope no other drama series would be infected.

"Machete" could have been a better drama series if it targeted a more mature audience. If what GMA's creative team was to develop the beginnings of Machete, it could have given the audience a different flavor. The casting and acting were not good either. There was something lacking. If it were good, it should have glued me to my seat.

Hating Kapatid: GMA Network's Short Film For Christmas

"Hating Kapatid" is a touching short film about two brothers who share the same pair of shoes and socks when going to school. One attends classes in the morning; the other in the afternoon. They meet in one store owned by an old woman where they exchange their footwear.

Endless Love - A Filipino Adaptation of Autumn in My Heart

Courtesy pinoyhalo.com "Autumn in My Heart" is a Korean TV series. When GMA Network aired it on Philippine TV, it started a trend. Pinoys went gaga over Koreanovelas. GMA renamed the characters as Jenny, Johnny, and Andrew. The three Korean stars became popular in their character names rather than in their Korean screen names. GMA7 also gave it a new title - "Endless Love" - for the reason that there's no autumn in the Philippines. Today premieres once again Autumn in my Heart aka Endless Love but this time as a Filipino adaptation starring Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, and Dennis Trillo. Three superstars in one show! It's surely a hit. If I were to rewrite some scenes in Autumn In My Heart In general, I enjoyed the pilot episode of Autumn In My Heart. I particularly like the scene where young Johnny and Jenny ride their bicycles on a long brick road fenced with bougainvilla bushes. I give praise to whoever found that place. The school location w...
