Who is Catholic and who is Christian?

In "Balakubak", a segment of Nuts Entertainment (aired 4 Aug 07), Joey de Leon, Janno Gibbs, and Anjo Yllana interviewed Ryan Agoncillo. The three men asked Ryan if he would allow Piolo Pascual to be his best man in his wedding or to be one of the godfathers of his child. Ryan answered "no" for the reason that he is Catholic and Piolo is a Christian. In that statement, Ryan made it sound that he is not a Christian, or in general, that Catholics are not Christians.

Catholics are 100% Christians. In fact, the Catholics are the very first Christians. Christ's disciples, beginning from his apostles, were the early Christians. Years after, they called themselves Katolikos or Catholics.

To correct Ryan, he should have said "I'm a Catholic Christian while Piolo is a non-Catholic Christian.

Week 2 Episodes The next episodes after the first week were not as exciting as the first few days. In a few words, I can give you the synopsis. Dyesebel was able to save Fredo and hid him inside a cave. Bukanding (Paolo Ballesteros), her foster brother, persuaded her to go home for fear of the queen's punishment. Back to the cave, they found out that Fredo was bitten by a sea snake. Dyesebel left to look for cure. While she was gone, Berbola found Fredo inside the cave. She, too, fell in love with Fredo. In Sireneya, the queen learned about mermaids swimming up to the shore (which is forbidden). The queen had them hunted. Erebus (Alfred Vargas) warned Dyesebel and Bukanding that they were able to leave the cave and went to a shore where Fredo recovered. Berbola pointed at Dyesebel as the mermaid who violated the law. Dyesebel was sentenced to death; but Erebus told the queen that Berbula, too, was guilty of the same crime. The queen could not sentence her daughter Berbula to death....

Endless Love - A Filipino Adaptation of Autumn in My Heart

Courtesy pinoyhalo.com "Autumn in My Heart" is a Korean TV series. When GMA Network aired it on Philippine TV, it started a trend. Pinoys went gaga over Koreanovelas. GMA renamed the characters as Jenny, Johnny, and Andrew. The three Korean stars became popular in their character names rather than in their Korean screen names. GMA7 also gave it a new title - "Endless Love" - for the reason that there's no autumn in the Philippines. Today premieres once again Autumn in my Heart aka Endless Love but this time as a Filipino adaptation starring Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, and Dennis Trillo. Three superstars in one show! It's surely a hit. If I were to rewrite some scenes in Autumn In My Heart In general, I enjoyed the pilot episode of Autumn In My Heart. I particularly like the scene where young Johnny and Jenny ride their bicycles on a long brick road fenced with bougainvilla bushes. I give praise to whoever found that place.
