Protege Lovely Was Eliminated But Saved

What they called the Big Twist saved Lovely from being eliminated. The twist called back the 5 proteges eliminated earlier. The remaining mentors had mixed opinions. Claire said it was not fair. Aiza said the ex-proteges deserved a second because of their talent, not because of the text votes.

Earlier in Party Pilipinas, Lovely's duet with Jonalyn Viray was well applauded. Unfortunately, she landed in the bottom floor because of low text votes.

Krizza's performance of Kamikaze's "Narda" in a new arrangement, accompanied by an orchestra, was truly a superb performance. Aiza truly knows how to groom a talent. Jensen's interpretation of "Anak" was the second best among the rest. The other proteges did just OK.

Ginisa ng mga Judges ang SoWat

Apparently the judges were offended by the remarks of SoWat in Inside Protege. SoWat had a hard time accepting the judges' criticisms in a positive point of view. Eula Valdez was impressed by SoWat's performance but the two de Leon's were not happy about the group's performance.

Opinion

SoWat apologized on national TV tungkol sa binitawan nilang remarks, which are actually very trivial: "Ba't 'di ninyo pag-blendinging yung mga soloista" and "Palit na lang tayo. Kami na lang yung judge." These are comments that you can say privately na tipong napag-uusapan lang at di naman seryoso hanggang kaluluwa. The problem is that their thoughts were broadcast on national TV.

The judges, specifically Bert and Joey de Leons, took those remarks too personally. SoWat apologized to them about what they had said in the interview room of Inside Protege. I was surprised that Bert de Leon did not accept the apology. The judges made their point and they were right. They are authorities in the industry while SoWat are mere contestants.

Truly, SoWat should accept every criticism in a positive way. This is to challenge them. Mentor Rey Valera should have taught his protege to value the judges' remarks rather that being always in the defensive mode.

Kitang-kita sa expression nina Joey and Bert na inis na inis sila. In fact, patuloy silang nag patutsada laban sa SoWat kahit di na nila kaharap ang SoWat, which I think is unfair and unprofessional considering they are professionals. Joey de Leon, though indirectly, repeatedly mentioned the words "Walang pinag-aralan."

In a way, sina Bert and Joey pa ang lubhang napikon sa issue.

Bert de Leon, Joey de Leon, and mentor Aiza Seguerra all belong to the Eat Bulaga family. In the viewers' perspective, that doesn't look fair and objective.

Dyesebel Learns the Truth

Week 2 Episodes The next episodes after the first week were not as exciting as the first few days. In a few words, I can give you the synopsis. Dyesebel was able to save Fredo and hid him inside a cave. Bukanding (Paolo Ballesteros), her foster brother, persuaded her to go home for fear of the queen's punishment. Back to the cave, they found out that Fredo was bitten by a sea snake. Dyesebel left to look for cure. While she was gone, Berbola found Fredo inside the cave. She, too, fell in love with Fredo. In Sireneya, the queen learned about mermaids swimming up to the shore (which is forbidden). The queen had them hunted. Erebus (Alfred Vargas) warned Dyesebel and Bukanding that they were able to leave the cave and went to a shore where Fredo recovered. Berbola pointed at Dyesebel as the mermaid who violated the law. Dyesebel was sentenced to death; but Erebus told the queen that Berbula, too, was guilty of the same crime. The queen could not sentence her daughter Berbula to death....

Hating Kapatid: GMA Network's Short Film For Christmas

"Hating Kapatid" is a touching short film about two brothers who share the same pair of shoes and socks when going to school. One attends classes in the morning; the other in the afternoon. They meet in one store owned by an old woman where they exchange their footwear.
